This is an experience for the real adventurer we head
west into the scenic Blue Mountains, winding our way
up and over the Great Dividing Range into the upper
reaches of the gold laden Turon River. After traversing
the challenging mountain terrain, we meet with one
of the true characters of the Australian bush.
Savour the delights of the superb Mudgee winery district.
Follow the footsteps of the explores as we head towards
the Pilliga Scrub with it’s sandstone caves, salt caves,
loads of wildlife including an abundance of Koalas,
Emus, and Kangaroos
.
As our tour progresses we get a chance to visit Pilliga
bore where we can have a swim in the soothing warm
natural springs. We also visit the Australia telescope,
Yarrie Lake, Narrabri and then on to the top of the
world- Mt Kaputar with views of 1/10 of NSW
The scenery continues as we make our way towards
Copeton via Bingara. Things to see include: the Sawn
Rocks, the Glacier, the Gwydir River and Munroe State
forest.
Copeton then into the area that was once home to famous
bushranger Captain Thunderbolt. Uralla via Bundarra
and pass though beautiful farms and giant granite
boulders. We wind our way back to Sydney after having
seen some of the best outback country in NSW. |
